I recently visited Uzbekistan, it was a wonderful experience to visit Samarkand and Tashkent in Uzbekistan. how I obtained Uzbekistan visa on Pakistani Passport? here is my guide about Uzbekistan visa.
First Step: Invitation Letter
Pakistani passport holders need invitation letter for visa to Uzbekistan. they might not need this thing if they arrange the visa through a tour agent in Uzbekistan. but that’ll cost more money. however, I did the visa with a simple invitation letter which I purchased online.
Caravanistan.com is a website, which helps you regarding visas to Central Asian countries i.e Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan visa, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan etc. I got the invitation letter of Uzbekistan from this website.
You need to fill the invitation letter form and submit it on the website, after 24 hours, you’ll get a reply via email from the travel agency in Uzbekistan who’ll prepare your invitation letter. it cost $65 USD which you have to pay either via Paypal or Western Union. after the payment is done, they’ll process your invitation letter which will take 10 days.
Along with payment, you also need to send your passport’s scanned copy, date of arrival and covering letter. you need to mention the name of embassy where you’ll collect your visa with this invitation letter. it can be in your country or any other country where you’ll travel. for example, I mentioned embassy in Tehran because I was traveling to Iran those days.
Now, here is the link to apply for Uzbekistan visa invitation letter online:
The invitation letter looks like this:
How to get the visa?
After you have invitation letter in your hands, it’s very easy to obtain the sticker visa on your passport. on invitation letter, you have to mention the embassy of Uzbekistan where you want to go for visa. in my case, I selected Uzbek embassy in Tehran, Iran, because those days, I was there on visit. I went to the embassy and got the visa within 30 minutes. you can get the visa from Islamabad embassy also. you have to pay $55 USD visa fee at the embassy. so the total cost for Uzbekistan visa will be $120. but it’s totally worth it.
Before going the embassy, make sure to take a printout of the invitation letter and a printout of completely filled visa application form which you can fill online on this website and then just take a printout of it: //evisa.mfa.uz/evisa_en/
