Nepal visa is on arrival for Pakistani passport for quite a long time. In fact, Nepali visa is on arrival for all countries in the world. However, when you are a Pakistani and you are going to Nepal for the first time then you will get visa free of charge. This policy is for SAARC countries of which Pakistan is a member. For rest of the countries, Nepal visa on arrival fee is $50 USD which had to be paid at the airport.

Nepal Visa on Arrival for Pakistanis (Requirements)

First thing first, as I mentioned visa is free of charge for first time visit. But when you visit Nepal second time then you have to pay $50 USD which is visa fee. As far as requirements are concerned, you should always have a return flight booking, hotel booking and some cash with you to avoid any hassle.

I was personally not asked for anything at Kathmandu Airport. I was even greeted and they had a separate special immigration booth for SAARC nationals. But as I always say, keep the basic things in mind when traveling to a foreign country and that’s always better for you.

That’s the stamp of Nepal visa on arrival on my Pakistani passport. I visited Nepal in 2017 and this visa policy is still valid in 2020 and beyond. If there are any changes then I will update this blog post accordingly.

Type of Nepali Visas on Arrival

Apart from the tourist visa on arrival, you can also get business visa on arrival or any other type of visa. And there are different visa counters at Tribhovan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will see different signs such as 90 days visa, 60 days visa and 30 days visa.

The normal visa is for stay up to 30 days. if you want to stay in Nepal for longer period of time then simply get the 60 days or 90 days visa. It is also possible to extend Nepal visa up to a month or two. For that, you have to visit the Nepali immigration office in Kathmandu.

And remember, leave the country before your visa expires. Fines are in place, if you overstay in Nepal. and for updated information, please always visit the official website of that country, and in case of Nepal, you can visit this website of Department of Immigration Nepal.

Nepal is a beautiful country with a lot of cultural and natural places to visit. I spent a few days in Kathmandu and then moved to Pokhara which is a mountainous region. I enjoyed a lot in Pokhara because that’s a natural place and less polluted. On other hand, Kathmandu is very polluted city (at least when I was there.).
